Every summer, the IMD Commission (IMDC) invites a highly motivated undergraduate student to work with and support IMDC staff on projects in accounting, communications, health/science, IT, legal, marketing, real estate and operations.

Industry Immersion

Explore the IMD ecosystem and connect with key stakeholders across healthcare and research.

Leadership Development

Learn essential leadership strategies from experienced IMDC staff through hands-on mentorship opportunities.

Project Collaboration

Work on meaningful projects while developing critical thinking skills for career advancement.

Requirements & Program Details

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in an associate’s or bachelor’s degree program
  • Interest in urban development, healthcare, finance, or related fields
  • U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or DACA status
  • Resident of eligible Chicago zip codes (60605, 60607, 60608, 60609, 60612, 60616, 60620, 60621, 60622, 60623, 60624, 60629, 60632, 60636, 60639, 60641, 60642, 60644, 60647, 60651, 60652, 60661)

Program Details:

  • Hours: 20 hrs/week
  • Duration: 8 weeks
  • Start Date: Coming Spring 2025
  • Compensation: Details coming Spring 2025
